New Year. New Life.

Sunday, January 30, 2011

It's 2011!! Such a big year for the Crosby's! I am so excited for what this year has in store for us! I have made several goals that I intend to follow and I hope I will! just how the gym is packed in january then by March it's back to the way it was..hardly anyone goes...I don't want to be like that. Well January has been a busy month. Steven is only taking 2 classes which is nice so I can see him more :) and I'm still going to school Tuesday through Saturday and also working at Pinnacle!

Life has been great lately. I love Steven....He loves me. We are both so happy to be with each other. This year I have decided to do more things for steven. Since he does so much for me. I like to call him my wife :) He cleans everyday, cooks my breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner almost everyday, does the laundry, buys me flowers, you name it. I want to try harder at surprising him with things like planning a date, even if its simple and cheap, or even buying him his favorite candies. To start off the year, I'm going to do the 14 days of Valentines, so stay tuned for details :)

A Preview at our year will look like this
- Graduate from Paul Mitchell May/June
- Steven leaves for Basic Training in April
-Steven comes back in August
- 2 yr Anniversary!
- wedding for a friend in vegas!
- move to Salt Lake
- Steven starts up school at the U
- I will officially be in my career working at a salon/do editorial photo shoot work!

Gosh life is so exciting! of course there are many little events in between then, but you'll hear more about it when the time comes! Have a good night all!!

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Monday, November 29, 2010

Well Like I mentioned in my previous post, we did a little black friday shopping. One of the stores we went into was White House Black Market. I love this store enough as it is, but I saw this dress and fell in love with it.

Obviously if I ever did get this dress it would be altered with some sleeves..but i still love it:) I know you are thinking...well she won't really have a place to wear this so it doesn't really matter, which is exactly what I thought until I remembered the ARMY has a ball ever so often.

Yes I said it..THE ARMY. Why might you ask would I ever go to an Army Ball? Well let me tell you that Steven is actually joining the US ARMY RESERVE!
yep. It will be all official on Wednesday when he's up in Salt Lake for his physical and enlistment. I know...it definitely is scary don't get me wrong! But we have thought about this long and hard for the past several months about it and feel it is right for our family because it is definitely not for everyone. We find out hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday for sure where Steven will be going to basic training and exactly when he will leave. The soonest he will leave is January 4th! ahh it's coming up so soon! He will be gone for about 4 months :(. But i know it will all be worth it in the end :) Welp that's the Big news!

Other than that...we are just trying to enjoy our last month or so together and with family and friends! I decorated and listened to Christmas music all day yesterday, so fun :) I need to get some new pictures up here i just cant seem to remember or find the time!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year Steven and I went down to Southern California to his parents for Thanksgiving. It was so warm!...well ok warmer than Utah! We had a great time seeing everyone and cant wait to see them again! Our weekend was full of a Mexican Fiesta at the Hokes, then the Big Turkey day and follow with some black friday shopping...which was my first experience ever!...not sure i will go again unless I know what I'm looking for or who I need to buy gifts for..and of course have more money!

Friday when we landed in Salt Lake, It was 19 degrees! soo cold!...Back to work today was difficult...got back into my workout today and then back to school tomorrow! Boy do I love these Holidays where we get to eat alot and spend time with family, it's my favorite time of the year!

Happy Halloween

Monday, November 1, 2010

This year, we didn't get as creative as last year with our costumes. Thursday the 28th we had a Halloween Party at Paul Mitchell that student council threw. My friend Cassie and I were Thing 1 and Thing 2. We were a big hit, if I don't say so myself. haha we had a great time with all the soups the teachers brought caramel apple bar and treats along with awesome games and fortune telling that i will never forget! The next night my friend Katy and I threw a Halloween party at her house. ( our husbands went to Samoa together for their Mission) At this party I dressed up as a pink poodle ( thanks Mom..and mayloni!) and Steven was 'my owner'. He wore a shirt that said " Help me find my poodle princess babes! his number then..I reward with cupcakes! (only because he made yummy cupcakes for the party :) haha then with that he wore a wig. We had a good time. played some messy games involving gooey yuckiness in a box and alkaselzer. Here are a few pics from the great time we had that night!

Apple Hill Traditions

Sunday, October 31, 2010

Usually every year my family would take a trip up to Apple Hill. There's a bunch of apple farms that have fun crafts, decorations, and of course all the yummy food! Steven and I went home a few weeks ago to surprise my family and have a little getaway to my house since he hadn't been back to my house since last Thanksgiving! We had a great time with my family and cant wait to be back with them for Christmas!

One Year!

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

One year ago on August 15, the best day had occurred. Our faces show how amazing it was as we just walked out of the temple being sealed for time and all eternity.

I can't believe Steven and I had already celebrated our first year anniversary! We spent a lovely weekend together. I wasn't really expecting anything huge but just something very nice and relaxing enjoying each others company since we have such busy schedules. And that's exactly what we did. Thursday after work we drove up to Salt Lake City and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel there in downtown. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast at the hotel as well as ate at Happy Sumo (Thanks Dan and Sonia!) Friday night we saw the movie Salt...Pretty good! Saturday we got to sleep in (loved it) and walked around farmers market, I wanted to buy so much food it was ridiculous, everything looked and smelled yummy! We then went up to Sugarhouse (love this place!) and got a couples massage...boyy was that a treat! afterwards we just relaxed some more out by the pool at the hotel and walked around downtown. Just when I thought we were about to head home after a fun surprise of the massage, my lovely husband throws out that we are going to see Lion King on Sunday afternoon( way cheaper). I was thrilled and couldn't stand it; I felt like a little kid that cant sleep the night before going to Disneyland! The show was absolutely amazing! It just topped off the whole weekend. I am the luckiest girl ever. Steven is the best husband ever and I love him so much. Here are a few pictures (not enough) of the weekend.
